We are pleased to provide updates about the amazing things God has been doing at The Lighthouse. We are touched on a regular basis by God’s blessings; He has seen our need and heard our many prayers and has helped bring a new, larger building a reality.

The Lighthouse has been providing services for over five years to women and children who are homeless or the victims of domestic violence. This facility also receives referrals from crisis pregnancy centers. Although The Lighthouse is located in Mayfield, services are available to anyone from anywhere. Predominantly, we have served those from Western Kentucky, but we have also housed people from Missouri, Texas, Indiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Michigan, Arkansas, New York, and even Belize and Korea. There is no shortage of hurting people; in fact last year we had to turn away 182 women and children because we were out of space.

Our new facility has allowed us to triple the number of people we serve. Land, a complete set of blue prints, cash contributions, a significant amount of labor, and materials from Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina have been donated to help with the construction of our new building.

Your support makes it possible for The Lighthouse to provide services to many who are dealing with homelessness or abuse. Our ministries isn’t about high paid salaries, we are about serving people. Dedication Ceremonies - March 15, 2008

Community leaders and board members met with the public for a dedication ceremony on Sunday, March 15, 2008. Director, Traci Lawrence, thanked everyone for attending and gave a brief overview of the plans for the new facility. County Judge Executive, Tony Smith, and City of Mayfield Mayor, Arthur Byrn, spokeabout the need for this facility in our area. The group prayed for

In July, Baptist Builders from Oldham and Trimble Counties in Northern Kentucky donated labor.

We want to thank the many local churches,

businesses and individuals who have prayed for us and donated labor and materials.
